All Island Blackout

This morning I awoke to find my a/c unit stuck in the open position, only to realise that we had a power outage. Hmmmm….then I did some checks around town only to hear that the entire island was experiencing the same thing. One person even said “Si what yuh Government mek happen”. Well I am attributing this outage to perhaps the overloading of the island’s generators? I am no engineer but I can only imagine that just about everyone is running an a/c unit or fan 24/7, along with the TV, radio and all sorts of electrical appliances. Yet….we still blame the Government. The only thing I am waiting to hear tonight is that the outage was caused by an overload, followed by Portia Simpson Miller’s announcement that she will, once again, import some Canadians to come in to tell us exactly what happened….and why. As always, we trust overseas talent to our own. Let’s hope she will spare taxpayers the expense of importing such persons to tell us what we already know.
