Portia’s Hole?

Just when I thought I had heard it all, the nightly news broadcasts a story of a fracas which occurred in Pearnel Charles’ constituency in North Central Clarendon. It appears that an elderly man fell in a pothole and received physical damages. The man apparently cursed Charles, about the hole he fell into, to which Charles retorted that it wasn’t his hole it was Portia’s HOLE! Of course the people of the area were not amused and said that Mr. Charles was offensive. Poor Mr. Charles had to defend his point by saying that everyone should know what he means when he refers to “Portia’s HOLE”. He meant it was the Governments HOLE. Oh well….the old man is now seeking compensation for damages. Of course the colourful citizens were out on the TV in full force, demonstrating how the poor old man fell in Portia’s HOLE and that Mr. Charles used a colourful adjective to describe Portia’s HOLE! God Bless Jamaica I tell you!
